Women in the Halls LogoWomen in the Halls, a special project of Planned Parenthood Action Fund of Georgia, seeks to bring more women to the state Capitol during the annual legislative session.  Often, lawmakers overlook our concerns, and the resulting public policies can be disastrous for the women of Georgia.  The presence of Women in the Halls will remind lawmakers that they are accountable to the women of Georgia for the decisions that they make.

Your involvement, your voice, and especially your personal visits make such a difference at the Capitol, we really count on your help!

What do Women in the Halls do?

Every Wednesday during the legislative session (January through April), we will join a lobby training hosted by progressive groups.  You will be briefed on pertinent legislation and how to lobby your elected officials.  Then, we’ll arm you with talking points, fact sheets, and everything you need to articulate your views to members of the General Assembly.  Together, we’ll fill the halls and fight for responsible legislation for women!

When and Where ?

Women in the Halls meets every WEDNESDAY during the legislative session at 9am in the Coverdell Legislative Office Building, Room 306 which is located across the street from the Capitol on Mitchell Street. Contact Nikema.Williams@ppfa.org or 404.688.9305 ext. 310 for more details.
